I simply do not understand how and why any decent, honorable person can identify with or support Donald Trump. He is the walking, talking, screaming and scheming embodiment of “the seven deadly sins.” Those sins are said to be pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath and sloth.

Trump is nothing but false and hugely exaggerated pride. He is notorious for his endless greed. His many affairs and instances of sexual abuse and exploitation show his uncontrolled lust. He has constantly shown that he is envious of anyone who gets more attention has more power, who is better liked, or who is better regarded. This obesity betrays his gluttony. He is nothing but wrath, and shows NO instances of kindness, empath, caring, humor, or decency. Finally, , I have never before seen a man who is lazy that he moves as little as possible, and lumbers when he moves because he is so lazy. He only moves his mouth and his hands.

If you are a Trump supporter, please explain to me how you can identify with and/or support this personification of evil.

Don't you just hate when you ask a specific group of people a question and everyone but that group answers? Sure they may think they are giving you the possible answers you want but you wanted answers from trump supporters.

Trump wasn’t my first choice but he’s definitely better than that crooked, senile piece of crap Biden!!! I will never vote for a crazy Democrat for as long as I live!!

Your judgmemnt of people is atrociously bad.

@wordywalt I think yours is terrible!

@wordywalt he's also dishonest and disingenuous. Oh, I'll vote for Trump only because Biden is so bad, he claims. Baloney. Like others like him, he's attracted to Trump's authoritarianism. I'd bet that Biden's policies have improved this guy's life in many ways, both directly and indirectly, but his tribalism comes first, beating self- interest, like many Trump base people who simply do not understand the American class and power structure or their place in it, mostly lowly. @Trajan61

Trump stinks, Biden does too, politics is in bad shape.

If you equate Biden wqith Trunp's evil, you are out of your damned mind.

@wordywalt In your usually uninformed opinion. BOTH are evil, abliet in different ways.

@Alienbeing Trump is definitely the better choice than Biden.

I realised long ago that Trump is a kind of magnet and conduit for a lot of people who have grievances against what they see as the smarty pants elites, the interest groups, upwardly mobile groups, cultural warriers they see ramming stuff down their throats, government interference, and many others they think are the source of their failure and frustration. They don't see how class and power works, or how Trump is the embodiment of it, not their savour from it. The tragedy of America is that if this underclass or movement were to chanel their power into a movement for real change, by gutting the Republican party into irrelevance and instilling such electoral fear into the Democratic party that it had no choice but to embrace a real reform agenda, then it could achieve real change in America. Instead they waste their power on a grifter who will do nothing but make their lives worse, and a party and elites that will profit from it.

It amazes me how little real understanding there is in mainstream American analysis about Trumpism and its causes. They are mostly locked into the 'bad man who ruined America' thesis, which explains nothing.

Sadly I also think that in embracing unregulated capitalism as an ideal, America also promotes such behaviour. Since capitalism needs consumers, and nobody makes better, or more enthusiastic and needy consumers, than selfish, narcissistic and mindlessly uncritical people. You thereby create whole industries in the media, the schools, churches, and especially the sales industry, whose sole purpose, is to promote those negative qualities.

@Fernapple yes, and putting my political scientist hat on, I have to say Trumpism is a result of over 40 years of economic rationalism, since Reaganism in fact, which has produced this toxic
value-less American capitalism and individualism that I think you are referring to. On the one hand a gutting of the middle class and creation of a large underclass with little connection to the so- called American dream, and on the other a bloated authoritarian mega rich class that has no time even for the phoney pretentions of American democracy and instead wants direct autocratic rule. Both of these form the Trump power base, although shallow American analysis only ever focuses on the working class MAGA base.

The US is badly corrupt and the Democratic party machine is fascist and genocidal. Saw someone coin it's the Obiden presidency and that is fairly accurate.
Washington needs a big cleanup, a destructive tornado so it may be rebuilt. for all intents and purposes, that tornado seems to be called Trump. Washington is shit scared of it hitting.
The CIA/ Pentagon is out off control so something has to snap. If the democrats get back in after Afghanistan, Nord Stream, Ukraine, Gaza..................

Tribalism is a powerful force of human nature.
Some people have a need to be a part of a larger whole, the simpler and less complicated the person the greater the need to be embraced by a community of peers and inferiors who share and aggrandize their most base traits and the greater the need for an idiot prime to worship and swear fidelity too as justification and validation for a decent in to savagery.

Too many people think. "Wow somebody just like me, at last."

it may be that many are desparate for something to believe in, so they just adopt what is simple and avoid the confusion that comes with trying to think. lazy mindedness is quite the common condition among those seeking to belong to any group that will have them, especially when they have nothing to offer, but plenty of selfishness to share.

Try & understand these people are not those of ethics. They are using parts of their brain that is less developed. Try & think of it on a tangible scientific biological disfunction level. It is the only explanation that satisfies my perpexion.

Your brain is definitely less developed as you continue to support an idiot whose crazy foreign policy has resulted in much turmoil around the world and whose domestic policies have resulted in the worst inflation in over 40 years.

@Trajan61 My brain is less developed in the area governing math & music. These areas are right next to each other. I did not call you a name. I said that these people have an area of the brain that is less developed for empathy, ethics critical thinking. "You people", to quote Ross Perot, always resort to name calling only proving that you have lost the argument but you will "never surrender" which only confirms my analysis that certain parts of the brain are less developed. You calling me an "idiot" only confirms someone's juvenile behavior.

@Mooolah I didn’t call you an idiot. I said you support an idiot. You are the one who started this by hinting that the brains of Trump supporters are less developed because they support Trump.

On the other hand, you now can know pretty quickly who to avoid/remove from your life.
