I believe in the Big Bang theory as the point traceable back in time in which everything started. I believe from that point it was the beginning of all life. I believe in evolution.
I think the religion was early mankind’s way of trying to understand their environment and they did the best they could under the circumstances particularly since their basic existence depending on providing food by hunting and later crops. I can’t tell you what a sincere treat it would be to communicate with like minded people. I live in a very small rural area and although the people are nice they are very much a product of their restrictive environment and limited view of life. I welcome any and all comments.

You may be IN WV, Pamela, but I suspect you were not born here! I'm a 20-year visitor... definitely not "from" here in WV. Like you, I live well outside of a small rural community. I don't talk religion or politics with locals... there's just no sense. And I vote every time... though it makes little difference. This site was a nice find. There's more of my kind of people on one page here than in my whole WV county. But I stay because it's such a beautiful state... quiet, safe, no traffic.

The Big Bang Theory doesn't conflict with the religions I'm familiar with. In fact, some of the original hesitation with the Big Bang Theory came because the instantaneous beginning of time and space seemed so close to religious stories. Unlike those religious stories however, the Big Bang Theory includes testable evidence such as the redshift if galaxies and cosmic background radiation.
