Have you ever been on Google Earth and zoomed in on a random place you have no intention of visiting, just to see what is there, and maybe opened road view to look close. Not somewhere special, just a random bit of road ?

Maybe not so random, but often places I have no intention of actually visiting, out of my travel budget, but just like to imagine I'm there, seeing what it's like from the street view.

No, and sounds like one of many (other) Google apps I need to experiment with.

On a side note, I suspect you being daft is not the case here, so that option would not apply, as curiosity of that nature is seldom ever a bad or looney thing.
