A recent posting by a group indivisible talked about the project 2025. This is a future scenario by the ultra-conservative group the Heritage Foundation. tRump often says he knows nothing of this but then goes on to say he totally supports this project. The MAGA fools think money is all that is needed to transform our society to cater to their whims. More and more they fail to understand that exposing their radical ideas at the early stage will only end up demonstrating to the world how insane and destructive their ideas are to the true citizens of this country and the world. This project has been posted before but we all need to be constantly reminded of the perils we all face in the near future.

  1. Project 2025 is a 900-page playbook for Republicans next year if they gain power, and it’s focused on attacking our rights, giving handouts to billionaires and corporations, and undermining your vote.
  2. Project 2025 would ban public-sector unions and allow states to ban labor unions entirely, ending your right to organize in the workplace.
  3. Government services that keep us safe would be gone, including basics like weather alerts that warn us of dangerous storms and clean air and water programs.
  4. Trump’s Project 2025 would ban medication abortion, effectively ending access to abortion for millions of Americans.
  5. The plan says that any books, movies, and TV shows that include LGBTQ+ content or characters are pornographic.
  6. It calls for a total and complete ban on porn.
  7. They plan to dissolve the Department of Education entirely and end enforcement of laws guaranteeing special education programs for students.
  8. Project 2025 strips protections away from women and LGBTQ people in education and the workplace, putting millions at risk of targeting and worse.
  9. Project 2025 gives states the right to ignore overtime, minimum wage, and child labor laws.
  10. It would end all student loan forgiveness programs, including for public service, and some folks would see their loan payments double.
  11. Project 2025 eliminates laws that protect against racial discrimination in housing, the labor market, and schools, ending protections that have been in place for decades.
  12. The MAGA plan wants to make you pay new taxes on your employer-provided health insurance coverage and sharply raises taxes on middle-class working families.
  13. Project 2025 strips away access to sex education for students, instead instructing federal programs to teach abstinence-only approaches.
  14. Project 2025 implements what’s called the ‘unitary executive’ model – it puts the entire government, all three branches, under the control of one person: the President.
  15. Social Security, Medicare, and nutrition assistance programs are all targeted for big cuts or elimination.
  16. They want to get rid of price caps on life-saving drugs like insulin and asthma inhalers.
  17. Project 2025 calls for cutting or eliminating social safety net programs, raising taxes on the middle class, and giving huge tax cuts to the ultra-wealthy.
  18. Under Project 2025’s plan, Trump would have the legal right to fire any civil servant or government employee who he thought wasn’t sufficiently loyal to MAGA.
  19. Adoption and foster care agencies would be legally allowed to discriminate against gay or non-Christian families looking to adopt.
  20. They want to eliminate the Head Start program, which serves over a million families annually.
  21. Project 2025 calls for raising the eligibility age for Social Security, effectively reducing benefits by tens of thousands of dollars per person.
  22. They want to end oil and gas drilling restrictions, including on our public lands.
  23. Project 2025’s plan would eliminate HIPAA privacy protections for abortion, helping creepy Republican zealots in anti-abortion states to track and target those who leave the state to access care.
  24. There’s a huge overlap between Trump staffers and the creators and co-sponsors of the plan – CNN has identified over 140 different people who worked for Trump and also played a role in creating or endorsing the transition plan.
  25. Trump has repeatedly praised both the Heritage Foundation and the authors of the Project 2025 playbook and said that “they’re going to lay the groundwork and detail plans for exactly what our movement will do” if he’s re-elected.

"Will this article be biased?" I consciously think when I view articles. You can tell by the language used, whether it is inflammatory or extreme. The first sentence in this one.

"Donald Trump’s first term was destructive, cruel, and—for far too many—literally fatal."

Yep, a balanced article forthcoming.

Huh, looks like a Factual article to me.
None so blind as those who will not see.......

Many of us did experience how that first term went and especially after the term ended the unbelievable fallout from one unwilling to stop. I seriously wonder where some people get their information. Certainly not from facts on the ground.

#22, Trump is a "Drill baby drill" type from what I have seen. That's a go for him.
The others, not so sure.
I think Trump will disengage from Europe/ NATO and Israel will be beyond anything he can do by then. He will take Venezuela instead. Not sure regarding Taiwan what he will do. Domestically? He is going to clean out the civil service, especially the domestic spook agencies. Fun times and what it is replaced with, who knows.
At least, on the world stage, Trump will talk. Something the Biden admin does not do at all. A Kamala admin will be the same. You may be sure Hillary Clinton ideology will have a high position and influence on policy.

This is the neocons wet dream. It won't happen but they will try, are already trying. You don't think Hillary Clinton types also applauded this direction? And they advance their agenda far quicker with a Biden signing whatever documents are put in front of him. Kamala does not instill confidence she has the backbone to refuse signing what is put in front of her either. Trump will buck the system, do his own thing eg can't see him busting unions as he will get off on pissing off those that own them and knows it is Constitutional eg the right to assemble in an organised manner. Not to mention a very populous position, good at rallies.
Put it this way; Who would more likely implement this agenda, Nikki Haley or Donald Trump? Think they would rather Nikki, more pliable and predictable. Like Kamala.

Michael Moore recently posted on social media:

"69% of Americans support legal abortion.
72% of Americans don’t own a gun.
90% of the country wants more gun control laws.
72% of us believe the Climate Crisis is real.
71% of all Americans approve of labor unions.
79% of us insist the rich must pay more in taxes.
76% of us want a much higher minimum wage.
70% of all voters believe marijuana should be legal.
73% of the country want student loan debt relief.
74% of Americans want more affordable homes.
65% support term limits on all Supreme Court justices.
84% of Americans want free Pre-k and 3-k.
69% of Americans support same-sex marriage.
65% of Americans want to end the electoral college.
89% of Americans oppose gerrymandering.
70% of us are demanding a permanent ceasefire in Gaza NOW!
72% of all Americans want money removed from politics!
70% of Millennials say they would likely vote for a Socialist candidate.
THAT is who we are."

That is who we once were before money and criminality took over. The fact that the ultra-conservatives are able to be where they are, at this point in time, shows something is very wrong with our core beliefs. Unfortunately, too many of 'us' don't want to get more involved with serious issues and simply want to enjoy life (especially after retirement) says something negative about the average American.

Voting for a third-party candidate, whether it is RFK Jr., Jill Stein or Chase Oliver, is a vote for Project 2025, as well as Trump. Insecure and adolescent minded people say they are voting their conscience, but they really just want attention by showing what assholes they'll be for being unloved.

ALL of us should forward this on to friends & family, asking them to read it & forward it on, also. I'm worried about these comments he's making about ''You don't need to vote....I have enough votes already."

He was addressing non voters, boasting he is so good, they will only have to vote this one time as he will have fixed everything by the end of his term, then they could go back to being non-voters.
Just Trump boasting at rallies, the Messiah type politician he likes to play. Don't know the demographics, but must be a lot of Christians that don't vote, the audience he was addressing.

Trump is rather psycho, reads the moment very well and is charismatic, a trait many possess. Along with self interest. He is vain but this vanity atm is about his legacy, he's already crawled to the top of the social heap in terms and wealth and status ie legacy those areas done. I suspect he is a builder rather than a destroyer of things so hopefully that is what his vanity is thinking, how he wants to be remembered by history. His willingness to engage, just talk and meet, with Nth Korea gave hope but droning an Iranian general/ diplomat on a mission in Iraq did not. He's is a worry, but he 100% American, of that I am sure. He won't destroy the nation.
Lot's of paranoia/ anxiety about Trump, but blame democrats for getting things to the stage where he is the better/ more attractive option to many.

@puff I think you flatter him waaay too much. He simply says what he feels like at that moment (and often contradicts himself as he knows his enablers will believe anything he says). He also cannot be contradicted so there is also a fear element. Anyone who follows anything about this POS already has a lot of screws loose.

@pedigojr Know thy enemy. Calling him a POS may be fun, but by accepting what he is eg psycho ie lacks empathy, vain, self centered but very charismatic and reads the moment very well. Psycho's manipulate people very well. No emotional intelligence.
Understand the enemy and you are better able to defeat him eg play on his vanity, which the Lincon project does brilliantly. If unprepared, he will perform better at public speaking events like debates so you better be prepared.
The best way to beat him is to be the attractive alternative, which you would think wouldn't be that hard. But democrats/ Biden admin have managed to fuck that up too.

@puff The man is a malignant narcissist and is only good at manipulating the system. He'd happily use democracy to destroy democracy. In addition...he's a POS.

@puff Knowing thy enemy does not always mean saddling up to them (it could also be a she). With Trump no matter what you do once you show your true colors you are under the bus. He is so self aggrandizing one has to constantly bow down and kiss his ass. That is asking too much of any self-respecting person. How much did Churchill and FDR kiss up to Hitler!? Knowing ones enemy often means fighting them with all one has at their disposal.

It's the ultimate control instrument and money grab. These criminals must be defeated and dealt with aggressively by the next administration.

I think what the oligarchs fail to understand is the simple fact that they also need us to buy their crap. Notice how many ads are being placed in periodicals, on the internet and all around. Our rights and income is being taken away but then we are told to buy more to keep the corporations afloat. It's the same short shortsightedness among the Christian Nationalists (who are apposed by basic Christian groups who see where this will take us) that there are hundreds of sects that come under the wing of 'Christian' so which one should reign? We may end up having a modern day reformation and anyone who has studied history knows of the violence and death that caused.
At one time I discovered that the apartment in which I lived in the old city of Heidelberg Germany (built in 1683 and then destroyed in 1690) had been a victim of the reformation. The city had converted to Lutheranism and, in 1690, the French Catholics laid siege to the city in punishment for their change. The apartment, in which I lived, had a cellar under the living room. Most probably a family went to the cellar to escape the bombardment (as did most during a time of siege) but were buried alive. When I came along the space had never been lived in (it was, at first a stable, then a smokehouse and finally a storage area). I wondered about this and asked a local historian and he told me what probably had happened.
