I worked for an ultraconservative corporation They flew a flag that was badly tattered for years and didn't give a shit. Their veneer of patriotism is an atom thick. They finally replaced it at my request.

This flag burning crap comes around once a decade. It's totally a Republican thing and is totally unenforceable. Burning the flag is a crime but the official way to get rid of an old flags is...burning it. What happens when one wear flag like clothing, underwear for example? Is that a crime. The list goes on and on and on and, to me it's another example of shallow patriotism. Give loyalty to a piece of colored cloth and you're in. Those of us who practice true patriotism, speaking out. are headed to jail. This is the usual ploy from a fascist regime for those who are unable to think for themselves.

That's no surprise. BTW, nobody's going to call you "Sir" in prison!
