It's sickening to hear such arrogant snake oil. His bullshit is better than native bullshit? Asshole.

Bloody hell mate, talk about cultural appropriation!

He’s not wearing a hat, it’s a traditional Bird of Paradise feathered headdress.

Better get your facts right next time, be more respectful of the local traditional values.

@Zealandia This one is good, showing how to be offended for others, whilst the others don't care. He does it in Chinese attire too.

Ed Thai's used to love it when I used to wear traditional clothes styles. I like the Is-saan shirts, still have them and wear them here

@Zealandia This sort of shirt

@puff Yeah, great video.

In the uk, people didn’t seem to understand how to navigate cultural issues. However in NZ it’s openly discussed.

Some of the shit people say in the uk is unbelievable.
No, where are you REALLY from? There was a person associated with royalty who asked that question when meeting a Black person who was born in Britain. Far out.

I found the story:

@puff Nice shirt. Yes, that’s just being respectful and taking on board the local culture. I can understand why the local Thais would be pleased to see you in their traditional clothing. You aren’t misappropriating, but making an effort to blend in.

@Zealandia Exactly. When in Rome.....................

@puff A story you would get….

When I was in the uk, I wore an AB’s lanyard to work, identifying as a kiwi.

A Black workmate who I was talking to about a case looked sideways at it, then said nothing. She had seen the word “Blacks” on the lanyard and not clocked what it was actually referring to.

When I came back, there were boards saying “Black to Black” referring to the hope of a second victory in the RWC. Only in NZ….

I think it was a Twitter hashtag as well, #blacktoblack.

@Zealandia had fun working with all the cuzzy bro's in NZ. Great sense of humour.
