I'm not interested bring on the summer.

I usually don't get into the holiday spirit, but this year is different because I feel rather depressed. I hate being alone.

Do something for someone else, especially kids. Christmas is really for them.

You and your friend take a road trip. Invite friends from here to come visit you.

If I could avoid this whole silly season, I'd do it in a minute. I'm only going through the motions because there are kids involved. If it were up to me, and I could afford it, I'd be spending the rest of this month in the tropics with an endless supply of boat drinks. Actually, the rest of this month, and the first two of next year.

I don't have much in the way of holiday spirit, I'm not too worried about it. It has been this way for the past 8 or 9 years, I went through some really tough times post divorce, and the last time there were decorations the young adult child said she'd put it all away. BS. So since I live alone, I don't bother to drag it out. Maybe next year when the grandchild is older and might notice it, or maybe not. The crass commercialism and the fighting over religion doesn't help. So I do my things just like always.

I always wear a Rat Terrier pin. This year I decided to wear this one for the alcohol-related festivities.
