It depends on what sort of day is happening, some days when I see the greed, the hurt, the pain, the suffering, inflicted by other humans I think what a sorry sack of shit humanity is, then I may see or hear of a story that will restore, not my faith, but my hope that there is a future for us.

Compared to a lot of people in the world I live a comfortable, hassle free life and any misfortune is insignificant to what others are going through and any misfortune is usually down to my own stupidity.

I like to think I don't make anyone's day any worse and hopefully a bit more enjoyable. So whether others are good or bad, in my immediate surroundings, perhaps depends on me?

I'm inclined to go along with the latter of the two

Almost all people have some good or bad in them. I think it depends on the situation they are in, their parenting, genetics, social status. how society treats them and their world view. I used to think all people are were basically good, until I ran into people with criminal mentalities and people with no remorse or self-awareness. I still would like to think people are basically good, but I cannot unsee what I have seen.

Yeah, people mostly just suck. Sometimes you’ll find a cool one, but we are of a pathetic species.
