Of course, I believe the comic was actually intended to illustrate a reductio ad absurdum argument against what is all too often said to members of the LGBTQ community. My heart grieves for my maimed and murdered friends, so I tend to focus on the L-handed part and ignore the subtext.
This is seriously a thing? In the context of people alive today, this is a thing!? I can see Middle Ages and all, but people in 2018 believe this shit?
I love this. I am left handed and in junior high we had a weekly class in penmanship. My teacher tried desperately to make me a right and when it didn't work she flunked me. I was a straight A student and that damned teacher screwed with my GPA
Some of my friends were beaten,
@pixiedust Geeze, we got ruler on the hands and knuckles. Fucking barbaric
Very apropos as May 17 is coming up. It's a funny strip yet it's sad because it's such a contemporary refrain.
You should have heard the cursive writing presenter whose workshop I attended only about 10 years ago. When someone asked about teaching left-handed students, the presenter went off the deep end, going on and on about Satanic influences and demonic possession. She was even more hysterical about ambidexterity.
