I was watching a documentary about tattoos and society's reaction to people who took it to the extreme. Would you ever consider getting your face tattooed?

I forgot to mention in the below post that before you go out and get a Tat is to find your favorite shirt, Wear it for a week straight. Straight forward as any logical mind can argue with. Fake ones are great because the wash off and you can change the design often as well as the place of exposure. I also forgot to mention permanent hardware that people will attach to various parts of their body which correlates to the below statement.

Only in America has this taken the hype and inane concept that your making a statement. I've been to Europe for the past 6 years and haven't seen anyone with makeup on. When I was growing up we used to go to the Circus to see people with Tattoos. That a Woman would mark herself up that in 5 years is going look like some sort of birth mark and they usually try and disguise them by getting them in conspicuous places. Some people get their dogs tatted across the belly for identification which I haven't seen in a while as collars and tags have served the purpose giving the poor creature a sore neck. I admire women who are au natural without makeup, hair dyes, face lifts and nothing but hard work and effort to keep themselves looking the way they truly are because their personalities match. I don't wear designer clothing or drive a car that is more than 5 years old. My Pickup is 9 years since I brought in new and it has close to 150k because I change the oil and have a good mechanic. I haven't been to a Barber in 5 years and I have a pair of thinning scissors to tonsure my bald palate. When I was working I would shave my head with a Remington Head Trimmer because I had to wear a Hardhat all day and if you ever have been in the situation then you can relate to what I'm saying. And on that note I will wait to hear what you can relate too, or whatever.

Good for you. But your taste =/= everyone else's taste, and you come across really smug about said taste.

I've got three tattoos, the third is being finished next week. I'm already planning the next one, too. My personal limit is face/neck tattoos. I encourage others to put thought into their ink art and stay away from from anything they may later regret or that may limit their employment options or scare/frighten people. The teenaged girl who loved the spider on her face ended up hating it on her wedding day. Unfortunately, other people's reactions to your tattoos can limit you. I encouraged one of my spawn to hold off and decide on a career before getting too expressive on their skin. Hopefully they land in a creative field where they can feel free.
