I'm oddly particular (my description) about my clothing. I don't like wearing anything with wear holes in it, especially if visible to others. Don't really like "cutoffs" of any kind.
But, I will keep and wear articles for up to 10-15 years if it's something I really like, or has special memories attached, as long as the item is still intact and has no holes, etc., and even if it may be quite faded from the original coloring.
How about you, any clothing peculiarities?
Well... I am an Engineer so I don't really care. My wife always expected me to dress up like a big shot... Ha ha... At times I would close my eyes to grab a random shirt with a random pair of pants and she would go bananas !!!!...ahhh good times. We have been separated for about 10 years now but always will be best friends

It's nice you can still be friends, it makes life easier, I know. If I may ask, what kind of Engineer are you; mechanical, aerospace, or...?
@IamNobody I was in Employee/Labor Relations for a good part of my time there. I saw some crazy shit and, yeah, there were some real challenges. Many of the Engineers there (Rocketdyne) were literally rocket scientists. It was like working in the company of highly technically smart people. We had many PhD's, and at the Field Labs, there was a ton of highly classified stuff going on in places they wouldn't even allow me into, like LASER labs, etc. It certainly was interesting working there.
I use to be all proper and all that. I guess i just lightened up on myself. Wife gets vocal about my clothes and stuff. Hmmm....

You are a typical male...when I was a professional seamstress, guys would bring me clothing that I could literally stick my finger through the worn fabric, and plead for repairs...uh, to be repaired, you have to have something to adhere to. Not one woman ever did any such thing.

                                        Well, what can I say?
I never thought of it as being "oddly particular about my clothing" , but I share your same attitude about wearing anything with wear holes and having articles of clothing that are up to 10, 15 and maybe 20 years old that are still intact although a little faded.
I work in a high school and rips and holes in pants are quite the fashion (see photo). Teens will pay a tidy sum for rather torn up or shredded jeans, as well as, shirts. I don't get it, but then I'm old enough to be their father. Jeggings and yoga pants are also very popular. I'm not a fan of tight fitting clothing on myself.
As for logos or emblems, it depends. If I like the product or company and identify with it then I have no problem, for example, a t-shirt with the Fender guitar logo because I like Fender guitars, but otherwise I don't want to pay to be a free billboard for a company.

Since moving to the US southwest I've acquired a taste for western style clothes though.
Generally I like to dress well but I do wear cutoffs - I hate knee pants, or cargo shorts as they're called.
