So a couple of weeks ago was at a meeting.
This lady shows up.
She had a kid a few weeks before and brought the baby with her. I'm cool with that.
Well right off the bat comes the religion.
"I read the Constitution and there is nothing in it about a "wall of seperation between church and state...."
Well, it say so in the LANGUAGE OF THE DAY...
Then come to find out she is a school teacher.
Small kids...
And she pointed out that, "Since prayer was removed from the schools ...all these problems have existed..."
RIght then and there...I knew she wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
Yeah...prior to remove prayer from schools there were never ever and drug, alcohol, sex, rape, incest, murder or so on...
IT JUST HAPPENED WHEN POOF!! PRAYER IS GONE AND BANG!!! ALL THESE PROBLEMS WERE CREATED...
Yeah....
Right..
My degree is in History....I gotta tell ya....we need to bring a lot of history classes back into the schools....
I'm sure in her free time she stands outside staring at the sun...
I find it odd (and amusing) that since the early 1950's when our nation's motto was changed to in god we trust, with each succeeding decade more and more evil has been witnessed and continues to occur. I like to mention that point whenever someone tells me our society has gone downhill since prayer in public school has been removed, and their reactions to me are often venomous ones at that.
This reminds me of the song that has always annoyed the fuck out of me. the "Caroling a caroling we go....wouldn't it be wonderful if we could have again, peace on earth good will toward men?" I defy anybody to ever show me even one day in history when this original peace on earth good will toward men existed. Five minutes. SO annoying.
So I've been restraining myself (my mouth) with debates and practicing the kinder gentler Epistemology method instead .. but this "meeting" of yours is when I would lose it and go medieval militant atheist on this fool!
Yeah. And if their omnipotent god can't find his way into the school on his own maybe he is not so omnipotent.
I'm thinking about all the small kids and the priests.... We know the rest.
Prayer didn't protect those kids.
