I guess l need to do some research into Hydrangeas....because mine is changing colors on me! When it was first given to me (in the hospital back in March), it was pink...after l transplanted it, it started turning green....now it's mostly green! It's still healthy and growing, it just isn't pink anymore...?

Wow, so bizarre! So, everyone is saying pink and blue, so how did l get green...??

You can play around with soil pH for different colors. I was able to get different colors on the same plant.

I think l've actually seen pictures of that, just hhad no clue how it got that way!

You can add acid or aluminum and change the colors again. There is special fertilizer for them in a nursery.

I will have to go look for some next time l'm out and about! New science experiment!

Soil pH. Hydrangeas are well-known for that variable flower color... usually either pink or blue.

It's the pH of your soil. Acid soil produces blue flowers alkaline soil produces pink

The pH of the soil will cause a color change. If I start throwing coffee grounds under ours they'll start to change within a few days.
