This post is more "happiness" than "health". Do you have a "pig out" day? Not necessarily food, but a day of the week that you do something just for you, maybe over indulge in.........? Mine is Monday. Mondays I eat whatever I want. While I always begin my day with a good breakfast, on Mondays I eat what calls to me for lunch, and dinner will usually be a snack and/or dessert. Today I had overnight oats for breakfast, Fired Pie pizza for lunch (pesto sauce, tons of veggies, ate 3 slices and gave the rest to a friend), and dinner was popcorn with fake butter and nutritional yeast, followed by a chocolate chip cookie as big as my head. What is your "pig out"? I remember Cher once said she pigged out by not showering, staying in her pajamas all day, and basically being a sloth.

I just snack a lot after 6 hour running days.

I suppose every day qualifies.
I do kinda whatever I want already.
I don't eat breakfast though - usually don't have food til mid afternoon.

I live a fairly regimented life... so Saturdays are my day. I eat a big omelette with rye toast for breakfast, a massive salad for lunch, and then a pig out that night - this Saturday will be Deadpool at Alamo Drafthouse... chimichangas, baby!

I do what I want, when I want.
I'm not going to settle for just one day to indulge myself.
I don't believe in depriving myself of anything.
I think self-deprivation makes people really damned grumpy.

I have 6 kids at home so no, there's never anything left. But one of these days... 😀

For me it's saturday. I go for chinese or indian buffet. And everytime I do, I come back home and think, Oh GoD!!! What have I done? Then on sundays, I run quite a few miles so that I feel happy and can do the same again. Haha...

Friday, especially if I'm at work that day. It's my reward for a week of productivity. I have the fish 'n' chips lunch in the cafeteria, although I only eat half at noon.

I am retired, single, live alone and every day is "pig out" day, or whatever I want it to be. Life is good.

Every Monday. I work a 4 d/10+h/d week at my day job with Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays off. Sunday I catch up on sleep and recover, and Tuesdays I get all my errands done, but Mondays are all mine. I do what I want, when I want, where I want, how I want. Sometimes I even get to do things with who I want. It's wonderful. Really recharges the mental batteries.

Lately for me it's been staying in bed all day on Saturday and binge watching documentaries on Netflix......

Not quite a pig-out day, but I find it does help to have one day of the week when I ignore the diet and have what i want. In other respects I can do what I want (within the massive restrictions I have) most days so there isn't a lot of pleasure in doing anything different. We all need treats though.
