At the risk of inviting the ire of @amisja I've just had a thought.
The American revolution is not yet over. In 1776 the American states refused to acknowledge the authority of King George the third.
That was only the end of part one.
In 2018 the USA began an insidious movement to infiltrate the British monarchy, with a view to its eventual assimilation, thus ending the project they started almost 250 years ago.
