I am having trouble with the humor here because I work with an organization composed of blind people. They pay over $10,000 for a service dog that has to go through more than a year of training. Then the dog and blind person must go through weeks of training together. Now people take their pets anywhere under the guise of it being a service animal. There are a few websites that will give you a paper and tag that says your animal is a service animal for the cost of $100.00. It pisses me off to no end because these animals are not trained and it is just because a person doesn't want to pay a dog sitter or kennel.

That is EXACTLY WHY I posted this! It's an epidemic & HURTS PEOPLE WHO REALLY DO REQUIRE A SERVICE ANIMAL! (sorry for yelling I"m VERY passionate about that!)
This harms people with legitimate special needs!

This is a parody of those entitled scammers. I've seen these idiots myself countless times in all kinds of places in the past year! It SHOULD BE ILLEGAL to misrepresent a service animal! Period!
While I'm here I'd like to thank you ❤ for your service to these people. Yes, service dogs require a great deal of time and investment!

@Qualia it is a hot topic for me too. The only way it can be stopped is to shut down the websites, via sting operations, that sell fake licenses and also criminalize the act of misrepresentation. I know how out of hand it is getting since service dogs no longer are for only blind people. I dated a guy who did the fake license shit and I had a friend who tried the same thing. I do not bother with either of them any longer

@AmelieMatisse ((( hugs )))) We're on the same page with this, totally. Unfortunately until a tragic result of this trend makes big news it's likely to continue... because people do idiotic things with animals.

@AmelieMatisse ps. I would NEVER risk my dog or my reputation this way! People in my world will burn morons like this at the stake! Rightly so!

@Qualia you go woman!!!

I thought the trained ones were service animals and the others were just called support animals. Two different terms, no confusion.

@cyndiann the problem is that it is not clear cut and NO untrained animals should be allowed wreck havoc on a plane, train, bus, restaurant, etc. The main problem being that you can buy a license online for any untrained pet and call it a support animal

@AmelieMatisse as long as they don't called it a service animal I'm ok with that.
