How do we stop separatists? By this I mean people that would have the majority of us divided as it makes sense to have people bickering amongst themselves so that they can get on with the business of making money or the changes that they want in society?
Divide and conquer tactics have always been used and human nature is to separate and care for your group to some extent; but isn't it time that we got through the simple differences like race, colour, gender and sexuality to work on common goals such as work, food, shelter, healthcare (Mental and physical) for all? and then sustainability, if we can mange it?

Owh, I was hoping for answers to the conundrum...oh well, it was worth a try and thanks for letting me know what you think.

It's actually a very tough question

@IamNobody aren't they the best ones though? 😉

Only by education from a very young age - but that runs the danger of being hi-jacked by the very people you wish to stop, and being used instead to brain-wash the young into bickering.

I agree, I was very lucky my mum went out of her way to buy a black doll for me when I was a child in the '70s and explained that skin colour doesn't change what's on the inside, (although I now know that it certainly does change people's experiences). Plus in my teens one of my dad's best mates was gay and so was our next door neighbour, although I'm constantly learning about people and especially people who identify as trans. at the moment.
I hope that the progress we've made keeps going so that we can respect each other and learn and work together.

@girlwithsmiles My children loved their golliwogs - and gave them preference over many other toys. But we grew up in a multiracial and tolerant society. Homosexuality, male or female, wasn't "judged" by prudes, merely accepted and perhaps remarked upon as "but not for me."

@Petter yes, I guess we're lucky. It's shame the dolls became a term of abuse 😟

@girlwithsmiles Remember "Robertsons" jams?

@Petter yes, and collecting the goolywogs. In Australia some people of Italian decent have claimed the term Wog as a positive moniker, although it's rarely used that way out of the group. A bit like the N word.

I'm not very optimistic. I have absolutely no faith in humanity. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Yes! We need to change our political leaders. There is no way they represent the majority of us.

Yes, but none of the popular parties, (if any) represent me 😟

@girlwithsmiles Me either, but there are some local 'politicians' I back. Unfortunately, none of them won in the last election. I don't give up hope, although it seems hopeless at times.
