I believe in freedom of association, be that the intoxicated(drunk), racial heritage, religion, sex etc. Any belief that segregates you from your fellow human beings (heaven/hell, white/ coloured, cith/trans) is not a good idea.
Agree? Disagree?

The purpose of this question is thought. But the meaning (what I meant) is I think you shouldn't be forcefully segregated from other human beings. That doesn't change us from being different from each other psychically, mentally, emotionally and so on. I am part of an epilepsy group, a mlp group, a cat fan group and a cosplay group. Those are all different. I don't mean someone shouldn't be different from one another and identify however they want/are. Chinese cooking, African, Gay... I mean not allowing a trans person into the army, not allowing association with the intoxicated as with Islam.
I'm starting to see the misunderstandings now.

Some groupings are positive, and some negative. "Freethinkers" sounds positive to me. "White Supremacist" doesn't. Am I missing something?

Disagree there are differences that we all experience which allows associations to form. What should be free is to join anyone of these organizations or associations that you have like views on.The Masons for example did not permit blacks to join for a period of time so they formed heir own Masonic order. They should not have been excluded because of their race.

Agree.
Ideas should be separated.
Human beings should be
brought together.

I am more than happy to be segregated from ideologues and demagogues (religious and political), racists and ethnocentrists, anarchists, and other misanthropes.

I agree. I want to be separated from stupidity.

Agree that race, religion, sexual orientation and disability are the divides that bigots like tRUMP use for their hateful politics. Alcoholism is an illness.

??? Find a role model and be them or yourself. Be kind. Be friendly. You'll keep your friends...

Well in order for human beings to continue to commit violence against one another, it is necessary for us to create ways in which we can differentiate each other and divide society into groups. Without division we won't have conflict.

Only the true intelligent humans can put aside their differences in order to evolve however this form of mental evolution is very rare. Especially in a world which continues to produce political activist youths. I blame the parents and teachers for this. They both indoctrinate children at a young age in order to force them to relate to their opinions. This is wrong. A person should only have political freedom from the age of maturity (any age where the child becomes an adult mentally not physically).

Since I'm a follower of the meaning and purpose of life, I can understand the necessity for human division. However, I do hope that one day we set aside our differences and co-exist peacefully.

There will always be destructive, self=centered people who cannot be trusted. We will always need legal and moral checks and balances to protect ourselves from them.

If we wanted to we could have a whole ideology around "Peace kills. Did you know more people die during peace time than in war time? The modern world has so much peace that the leading causes of death is vehicular collisions, substance abuse and domestic violence. Stop peace before it's too late. Join the fight against peace, Join the war"

Just a joke. Not to be taken seriously.

Agree. Beyond the freedom of association, I believe connections based on (similar traits) is part of our human makeup. However, when it segregates, divides, labels and views its self superior or inferior from the rest of humanity it becomes poisonous to the existence of all human kind.

when discussing matters of crime. Say for arguments sake there was two people fighting, one was drunk, and the other sobar. The drunk initiated the fight for no apparent reason, being total strangers.
Then, i think it is quite important to make the association with one being drunk and the other not, for being under the influence of the alcohol is a valid disclaimer in the laws of the goverment and psychology.
I also think sometimes it's important to segregate cis from trans, in the case of the subject is looking to partner up in some way or another, it's really important from them that people know what they're into, and who they identify with.
When it comes to colour i am not a fan of segregation when it comes souly down to appearance, for example facial features, hair, body, or skin colour. that for example is only valid when describing one person from the other for legible reasons.
Racial heritage is a good thing to embrace (in my opinion) as part of that comes the diversity of culture, and our upbringing and environment is something we cannot oppress for ''causing grief of segregation'' and if one is open about it, shares it, and does not ignore it then it can bring bring people together if shared and accepted.

Any group that segregates you from others is probably very insecure in their belief system, and that is dangerous. Any system that elevates you above others because you belong to it is pretty normal, however. We all want to feel special...I've been told I am very special. Thanks mom.

With their hoods or their fenced communes, or their doctrines of disconnection and secret meetings. Nothing says "I am secure." Like social segregation...hehe...And you are very special, too, Kevin Johnston.
