So let me plant a seed. I expect there will be a lot of comments both negative and positive on this. No pun intended. As most of you know, I believe in energy. Since everything and everyone that we have ever known and never will know is made up of atoms, I eat energy, I believe that is an overriding Force. I believe all energy is ultimately connected, and one side mount of energy as it goes influences the rest of the segments. We know from science that energy cannot be created and can never be destroyed. It can evolve, change, and Decay, but it will never completely go away. That's the energy that makes up you, me, and everything around us, has been here forever and we'll be here forever. I believe that energy also has a collective intelligence to it. It Ebbs and flows in both positive and negative manners. I think this is the basis for all humanity and Beyond. You may discuss.

I agree with some of this. I believe in energy also. It is all around us and is what animates us. It is in the elements that make up everything on Earth. I don't believe it is a god, goddess, or supreme being. It just is. It is important, it is essential, but it isn't a thing to be worshipped. I respect the energy of the earth and everything on it. I think the ancients created the gods and goddesses to explain the world around them, when they did not have the resources of science to explain it. All that being said, I am Pagan, but, I am atheist pagan. I enjoy the gods and goddesses, but I don't worship, believe in, or believe they have any power. I enjoy them as archetypes, and as stories, not unlike the Odyssey, with all the stories about mythical creatures.

E=MC2 and the law of Mass/energy equivalence agrees with you, in that, energy is everything. However, to take that and assign anthropomorphic characteristics makes your views coincide with those who identify as following Pantheism. Though Pantheism does not have a large religious following and no religious institution, it is still a far cry from being either Agnostic, or Atheist.

To my understanding, we are not energy - rather we transfer it. Stop eating and drinking (taking in energy) and you won't last long. Brain function (electrical pulses, etc) simply cease, like a computer unplugged.
Upon death a small bit of heat is released via decomposition just like any other life form.
Nothing more.
It's a nice thought otherwise, but not something I ascribe to, and certainly not any collective consciousness. I've seen no reason yet to think any form of consciousness extends beyond the death of the mind that creates it.

I am only just beginning to delve into the energy world and find it really interesting and feasible. At this point though, I am not so sure that I agree on the collective intelligence angle. I am looking forward to reading everyone's view on this.

I believe in the laws of physics and science; the idea of energy is what attracted me to explore paganism, years ago. I’m not sure there’s collective intelligence: but perhaps, history? An energetic record, I mean. I’m agnostic about that idea, as well.

There's nothing to discuss. It's just another long dissertation consisting entirely of magical thinking and misrepresentations of scientific principles.

I too think everything is energy and vibrates...and think of a creative force we all have access to create as well. I think this creative force is involved in evolution and the creation of worlds. It isnt a god. It is a force like gravity...this is just what makes sense to me...ir doesn't care it just is. I would not say I believe this to be true...just a thought that like the god in other's religions or beliefs makes no difference in my life..as in whether it is true or not. I do think I exist beyond and before as having had many out of body experiences when a teenager, I realized what I was taught in Lutheran school/church was inaccurate. I really don't believe in truth or the perfection of science. Even having a hypothesis to me can be a confound in the research. Or all the influences that are not known or measurable. Whatever X that exists that worlds and us now exist whether unknown or known by USA is just our brain making sense oaf things..our individual subjective truths.

the word your are looking for is ENTROPY, SURE QUOTE THE THREE LAWS OF THERMODYNAMICS, your point is ?

Are you referring to energy behaves intelligently with the connotation that energy obeys the laws of physics?
