Right on, Liberal50. I certainly have no problem with someone owner a hunting rifle to hunt whatever is in season with the required license. We need hunters to cull herds that have grown to large and wind up dying a horrible death due to starvation. We had an over population of coyotes in my wooded Illinois town a few years back and some people had their little dogs snatched out of their backyards and eaten. I would sometimes see them at a distance when I'd take latenight walks and they were looking awfully thin. The County wound up ordering a cull and issued a certain amount of coyote licenses and everything went back to normal in about a month. There are groups like the NRA that have taken Heston's comment and image completely out of context and extrapolated that out to mean AR-15's with bump stocks and semi-automatic guns. I wish that the legal gunowners would research where the NRA has warped this message and make a sound decision to benefit society.
