And the more relieved I am that I don't have to have the answers!

As I have aged, on a rational level I have understood reality less and less, until now, I am totally flabbergasted and bewildered, and in abject awe and amazement. Turns out all my previous knowledge, so proudly held, was just superficial, with no real foundation.

It is not the answers but the questions that matter.

In the quest for knowledge, be careful. You can end up knowing everything about nothing,or nothing about everything.

And on top of knowing less, I sometimes forget the stuff I thought I'd already learned.

It's like the popular poster sign that says: Teenagers! Are your parents driving you nuts and ruining your lives? Quick! Move out and start paying your own rent while you still know everything!

Truth!

Hah it feels that way doesn’t it! The more we learn, the more we can see all that we don’t know and understand. Don’t worry, you aren’t actually getting dumber, it only feels that way!

I had a landlord who was 100 years old. That was 26 years ago.. I don't know if she is still alive or not. She never married, never had children, left school at the age of 14, and didn't have a television. She always had her face in her bible. So she knew nothing about world news or local news, she answered her door to strangers (will I lived there next door from her I shooed them away), and she had a 20 year old car in the garage that she did not drive. Her face was the face of a two-year old.. at complete peace , softness in her pastel blue eyes..not a care or thought of concern. Dumber than my cat when he was three months old. I envied her peace.

Yes, but I don't think it is sad, rather it opens up vast new worlds to explore. It is exciting.
