There's a better chance of T-rump being reelected than the demise of the GOP; money and lies will keep it alive.

The Republican Party that most of us grew up has already been killed by Trump and his ilk. While often disagreeing with the stances and policies of Republicans, at least I could respect them. This new crop deserves no respect as they are amoral, unethical and ugly people.

@t1nick I agree with your assessment of the GOP, and would like the party to die. I disagree that Trump is the cause, IMO the GOP has been corrupt for a very long time, since before Hoover. Although, Citizens United kicked corruption into high gear.

@EdEarl I agree. Trump is just a catalyst for the speeding up and demise of the GOP.

I join you in that hope.

WE CAN ALL HOPE. We have to vote them out in midterms. Reduce their numbers-reduce their influence and usher in politics of non-divisiveness-a new civil rights campaign of acceptance of diversity..

Probably not. Money has a way of furthering politics more than any good meaning, moral desires for the betterment of mankind will ever have. As long as there are wealthy men/women that band together in groups to influence the body politic through the judicious use of money through political contributions, lobbying and outright bribery, the Republican Party will remain robust and healthy.
