Who else loves Star Trek and the Atheist message it promoted? As a child I learned more about being an Atheist from Star Trek than from any other source except perhaps for the Bible.

I think that Gene Roddenberry's contribution to the world is highly underrated. The tech aspect has been addressed but the Atheist angle has been left in the shadows for some reason.
@Surfpirate I agree. If or when atheism becomes less taboo, perhaps we will more publicly acknowledge his contribution. I like to think so.
