I apologize for the level of civility displayed by my fellow Americans. What do you think about Trump being at Arlington ? What a hypocrite! This guy was a draft-dodger and displays behavior that most of us abhor. He and people like him is responsible for much of the boorish behavior you were describing.

Most of America despises 45, the demonic sewer hog. Everyday 45's rants and tweets get more unlikely, unbelievable, and unhinged. He is supported by only a few. These are from the very rich and the very poor. The very poor still believe he is going to change America and make her greater. Reality is, 45 wants America for himself. He will do nothing for the poor but kill them from hunger, and no health care. I keep thinking let him rant, let him run his mouth. Each time he does he loses a few more in congress. I think he will be the death of the GOP and the NRA. A dictator certainly will not want these institutions around. I think he will be done by mid terms in NOV 2018.

@BettyColeman You are so right. I share most of your beliefs, only I'm I.m not as optimistic about the future. I have lost confidence in the mainstream voter. I always thought that deep there was a shred of decency but I was wrong. I am seeing with my own eyes a replay of the rise nazism. We all know how that turned out!

@MichaelCooley2 If they do not remove 45 from office as leader of the free world, I am in the process of making arrangements to move to another country. It will be difficult at my age, but I will NOT live under the rule of 45, the demonic sewer pig

I have visited and lived in many countries, America was one of the nicest and most friendly but at the same time also one of the most dangerous and unwelcoming, it all depended upon who you met. I'm pretty sure the country is bi-polar. I started paying extra in order to not have to fly through the States to my final destination, it's just too much of a hassle so it's worth it for me not to deal with TSA and US Customs which generally treat everyone as suspected terrorists. I haven't visited the States since Trump got into power and doubt that I will, my tourist dollars will be going elsewhere.

Very aptly put. Partisanship has become epidemic in the US. A lot of that has to do with where people are (choosing to) tune in to get their news and opinion talk shows. It's unfortunate not to say criminal that a Supreme Court ruling back in the 1980's determined that News programs are 'entertainment" and have no legal requirement to actually report accurate truthful news. Mega-millionaires such as the Sinclaire group and of course Fox News have taken advantage of this loophole and are buying up local TV stations, especially in swing states, to enforce a biased message.

@PeppermintDreads It's definitely more good than bad but when it's bad it can be horrid.

You obviously have never driven in Russia, China, Mexico, or the Philipines....those places are crazy and I was almost in multiple accidents in all of them.

I've been delayed and extensively searched in customs entering Norway, Poland, and Greece. No idea why.

I have been refused service in restaurants that don't want American "tourists"....2x in France in once in Spain.

There are good/bad in all countries. Everyone's experiences are different....thousands of Americans fly into Poland, for example, and aren't searched and detained like I was.

Attacking the USA seems incredibly harsh especially today when we are remembering the millions of soldiers who have laid down their lives to protect our freedoms.

Let's be grateful and APPRECIATE our freedoms instead.
Yep.

In FL we take our life in our hands every day by driving. I've lived and worked all over the country and FL is definitely the worst.

One good thing about Florida is that we don't have hills and a lot of curves. The problem is that we have a lot of senior citizens who think they can drive but can't anymore.

@AncientNight Actually I have driven in NYC and in Chicago, Seattle, Dallas, LA and Orange County (with 24 lanes of traffic). FL is the worst.

The land of the free ain"t so free these days. Is this Hitler's second coming?

There has always been an element of that in the US, since Trump it has been exacerbated. The bullies are in charge and they are making the most of it.

The US was founded on lies. It is after all called the American DREAM not reality. We have never been free but we believed it for so long that the bullies are now bold and blatant. Trump is a symptom of the problem that has always been America.

@CreativelyMe as George Carlin said, it’s called the American Dream bc you have to be asleep to believe in it. This country was bought and sold a long time ago. So might as well sit back and try to enjoy the ride.

@corey6 I love George Carlin and totally agree with you that we might as well enjoy the ride. I don't bother with politics at all. In my opinion it is all just a slight of hand operation anyway and emotionally toxic so instead I do things I wish the whole world would do. I pick up trash, say thank you to EVERYONE that helps me and support things instead of opposing them. Anything else seems futile to me.

@oldnslow It sure does help. I do not go out of my way for it too often but I pick up whatever is in my path and have probably inspired about 50 people to do the same thing. I even had a dog that would put is nose on a piece of trash and look at me until I noticed. It was so funny because he did not play catch with anything other than a stick. If you threw something man-made he would run after it and put his nose on it until you would see him and then walk away.
