I got none, I wake up like any other day, without a hangover or a worry to cloud my thought. I am a retired veteran and for me is enough.

Going to the cemetery in my hometown in Kansas and visiting the graves of soldiers lost in foreign wars and other veterans. I always visit my grandfather's grave. He served in WW2, got wounded in action. He was a great influence in my life.

In the UK we observe Remembrance Day on November 11th - the anniversary of the armistice which ended WWI.

U.S. holidays are opposite that. Memorial Day used to be known as Decoration Day, a day to remember those who fought for the Union in the Civil War. It became a day to honor all those who died in wartime. Now, it's just an excuse to go to the lake and get drunk. Veterans Day, which we celebrate in November, on Armistice Day, is to honor the living veterans of military service. It hasn't become a drunk fest yet.

Honoring the troops who have died serving this country and defending freedom. Because that's what this day is about.
