God is good.
I keep seeing this all over Facebook, and quite frankly it makes me nuts. So, god is good? To just you and your issues? Tell that to the parents who kid just mowed down by a car or these school shootings, the homes wiped out in Hawaii, etc, etc, etc, ad nauseam.....
It's seems some people can't simply accept the fact that, hey... maybe you were just lucky. Maybe it was actually your free will that caused this so-called good thing to happen in your life?? Maybe you could actually think for yourself for once......Always has to be some divine intervention on what often seems to me to be a petty accomplishment. What's funny too is that that's all they can come with for their god is God is good?? For a supreme being that they idolize and worship, how about God is great!! God is amazing! God is fantastic!! Nope, just god is good...... Sorry god.... you've been underrated by your fans.

Oh absolutely.
I frequent a recovery program, and that's some of the 1st ideas they present.
Let go and let god...... God's will, not ours....... Absolutely ridiculous. And, don't you dare go against the fundamentalists.... They set you up for failure.... "You're not working the program", and that means you Will fail. (In their eyes anyway..... That's a whole other issue in itself with these faith healing bullshit programs.)
Worse, it makes no sense. Lets take a God who is all-knowing, all-powerful and good natured, then why does he create humans who feel the urge to kill, have murderous rages or mental illness? Why create all that suffering? Why create the urge to over-populate the planet and destroy much of nature? It is self-contradictory.

I saw something where some people calculated the number of deaths in the Bible between god and the devil. Not remembering the numbers exactly but god = millions, devil = 6.?

Doesn't surprise me. I never fully read the book, but have read some chapters containing lots of death.
Not a "good" god but a "Good god!" and face palm.

Ironic isn't it, that the same people who think 'God is Good' when a mass shooting occurs are completely appalled when someone darker skinned than they are posts the words 'Allahu Akbar' (god is great). Same ridiculous and ignorant notion that a sky daddy is slaying with one hand and sparing with the other. Religious people are insane to varying degrees, the more fundamental they get the more crazy they become.

Yes. It amazes me how much hatred exists between the religions.
More people have died and wars started in the name of religion.
It's pretty sick and twisted. The fundamentalists are out of their minds at times. No logic to some of their claims and the other crap that spews out of their mouths. And, like I mentioned up above, I find much selfishness when they are preaching their crap and/or defending their beliefs.
