But in spite of systematic indoctrination, more and more people are abandoning religion. So we fight to keep our publicly funded entities free from religion, to keep science education teaching SCIENCE instead of fairytales, and to spread the word that it is ok to choose facts over faith.

Nothing. The cure is worse than the disease.

Freedom from religion is just an aspect of freedom of religion.

Attempting to legally force someone to think a certain way is incompatible with a free society. Whenever you purpose an idea remember the Kipling line "to hear the truth you spoke made as a trap for Fools" and ask yourself what would the worst human on earth do with the power you purpose.

Good point Dave. It's in the constitution. It's going to take one if those aliens ships to land and give us a history lesson.

Enforce separation of church and state. Fools will always be with us.

Research shows that if we have a better, fairer, more equal society, with good education, health care, and economy, then these are the countries that are far less likely to be dominated by religious people. The more disfuntional the society, the more religious it is likely to be

The best way to have religion in society is to let people believe freely and live their lives according to their beliefs while allowing others to do the same. One of the best ways to change the situation we have now is to do a better job of educating our population. We need to make sure that everyone is hearing actual facts not only things that prove their own opinions. Take away our little bubbles and give us all real news. We'll always interpret it differently but we should all have the real facts to interpret

Let them be, and hope that they let us be as well.

Agreed!

Tell your kids the truth & if they become infatuated with any religion then accept them for their decision & love them regardless. Religion is a very small part of most peoples lives. It doesn't have the same power over people as it used to.

Nothing. Nor should we. A free society has certain inalienable rights, and freedom of belief is one of them. If it wasn't, and your country decided everyone had to be Christian, how would you feel then?

Actually.............

I don't see how we could stop them. Would we really want to?

True but eventually it will become less and less. There's people who still bel

We could outlaw religion? The sovereign ets tried that and it didn’t work out very well.
