String Theory - is like being in a dark room and writing a book full of byzantine equations to describe a hypothetical black cat that may or may not be in the room.
Wicca - is like being in a dark room and trying to pull the whiskers off of a black cat, because you might need them some time.
Religion (in general) - is like being in a dark room and making sure everyone else in the room agrees with you about the nature of the black cat in the room.
Meditation - is like being in a dark room and trying to stop your mind from thinking about the black cat that you know is in the room with you.
Buddhism - is like being in a dark room and trying to reach a state where you understand that the black cat in the room is an illusion.
