In English Canada we got 30 minutes per week of french instruction in elementary school, in high school it was an optional course but I didn't really develop an interest until I went on a school trip to Quebec City and discovered french girls. Ooh Lah Lah!

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.It is interesting to note that American is the lingua franca of the business world, a bastardized language that is based upon the Queen's Good English as they say but with numerous terms and expressions stolen from other languages as well as new words and expressions invented out of thin air. Such is the nature of language, it's all about communication.
