It isn't a nice feeling to feel isolated from society.
You don't have to be but you have to be the change you want to see in your life. No one can do it for you.
I know it is easy to say and not easy to take the first steps but take an interest in something.
Maybe walking as an example perhaps. Join a local walking group and meet new people.
When you have a common interest with like minded people you find socialising easier. If you expand your horizons to multiple interests you expand it even further and through the new people you meet you meet more people.
You've friends here!
And frankly, my 2 cats and dog are far more loyal than most so-called friends. So, count yourself lucky!!
@MARDUK
I can see that she's an "old soul". You're very fortunate to have such a companion.
So? come in and chat with us. That's a lovely photo, by the way. You obviously have an artistic eye. Do you like photography? Oceans? Obviously, you love animals. All those things would resonate with people here......just saying.....
You say you are only here on this forum for "community," otherwise I'd tell you to ask someone out, make a date.
You can always sign up for a ballroom class, where men are always needed, volunteer help clean up a park or national forest area, join any local community activity group, like bird watching, hiking, kayaking, etc.
Either check the bulletin board of your local library, or google local community groups, check with local community colleges for free group classes where you can meet people.
@MARDUK The only thing that can curse us is ourselves.
We are co-creators of our own universe..making our own reality; what you believe, or fear, comes to you, since your focus on it brings it to you.

@MARDUK Fine. Go ahead and believe negative things, because that's just what you'll get. Apparently that's what you want.
