The newly-released January memo from Trump's lawyers to special counsel, Robert Mueller, and its extensive and unprecedented claims of executive powers (pretty much that the President is above the law) would seem to confirm that The Donald really does believe he was elected king, and that "l'etat c'est lui". How long before he begins to claim divine right to rule?

Hopefully, the lyrics to Coldplay's Viva la Vida, supposedly a song about French king Louis XVI (the king in the original painting) during the French Revolution, will soon be true for our fake king as well.

This is not surprising to me, moNOtheist. But I am more concerned about the sanctity of attorney/client privilege that seems to be more commonly abused these days. If they do this to Trump, who next? You? Me? Then again if Trump is the cause of the actual leaking....

What abuse has there been of attorney-client privilege?
@moNOtheist I should have worded my reply differently to say "But I am more concerned about keeping the sanctity of attorney/client privilege intact. For instance, if the Mueller probe into the Russian election meddling has somehow led to Trump's attorney and they have already legally raided Michael Cohen's and obtained email correspondence and/or letters written regarding legal counsel given to Trump by Cohen and that transaction is released to the public, then that "privilege" has been breached. I'm not saying it has yet. But my concern is that if it is, what's to stop it from happening to any of us.
