Got so busy posting fountain pics that l totally forgot about this little guy from yesterday! Was hiding in some leaves near where l was cleaning the bunny cages...my son even played with him for a bit before letting him go...?

I like snakes (and pretty much anything), but not in a roomful 'Indiana Jones' kinda way!?
@Free_2B_Me. Lol. Cobras were a common snake over there. They would sit up as you were driving down the road at night. You would smack a few with the jeep. 2 steppers were another one. Not very long but the bite would drop you in two steps. Water moccasins over here....ugh. cotton mouth over here....ugh. im just a whimp...lol.
They hibernate in their thousands I believe. lovely and much like our grass snake.

To be honest, l don't know the difference between any of them!? To me, they're all just grass snakes...just have different colors! I really only identify between harmless and poisonness...that's when it matters most!?

Never heard of a redstripe ribbon snake before?...they just call them garter snakes here.?
Garter snakes everywhere. I've not seen any this year at our place.

I don't see them often...they stick to the brush and are much faster than the other brown ones we've found...but are prettier!?

I think that's part of why l enjoy them so much. There will be long spells with zero sightings, so l make sure to take advantage of each encounter l get! And then share them with all of you!?
