FIFA World Cup

Is the interest in this confined to this side of the Atlantic?

What is FIFA?

Seriously?
It is Fédération Internationale de Football Association, basically the world body governing Soccer. The Soccer World Cup starts in Russia next week. A sort of Superbowl of Soccer for nations, but played over a month rather than a whole season.
USA didn't qualify this time, for the first time in over 20 years.

@Tedoi Thanks. I played a little bit of informal soccer in the army. It’s the only sport I liked and was ever good at. I hope that the playing of soccer continues to increase in this country.

Cool. In the home of cable, I imagine you should be able to catch a few games. Some days there are 4 a day, that's too much even for a soccer-nut like me!

@Tedoi I don’t have TV and don’t plan to ever have it.

Representing US fan here. It's the only time I watch soccer.

I am in the US and quite interested!

Someone should start a group for us (hint! I have too many already).

It's definitely confined to people other than me

No! Though South America is always deeply interested there are a few of us in the States who are.
