Isn't there some christian tenant that says "a liar will not enter the kingdom of heaven." And yes, omission is lying. My question is, is it less or more disgusting to protect someone who will abuse a spouse or child than it is to protect the spouse and child?

Ofcourse, ‘never expose your dirty laundry in public!’ In other words, never expose what harm is created in church, around church or with the religion in general!

Sounds about right.

All my life it was made known to me that I can't say anything about abuse. When I was 15 years old, I even told my mom after I was sexually assaulted in the examining room during my five-year physical, and she said nothing.

Well, that's just silly. Where else would people share those stories?
Their desperation is growing exponentially.
