It's appropriate when both are comfortable. Personally I'm never comfortable kissing on a first date. I can't imagine more that soon..

That feeling needs to be mutual whenever that might be.
If the chemistry and attraction is there and if’s it both on your minds that’s the time.

Appropriate? Advisable? Assuming you are both over the age of consent, whenever you want, that is what is appropriate... Advisable is a case by case thing and very subjective. 🙂
