Oh oh oh I know this one because of the fecal Cloud that forms when you flush the toilet it actually creates a little cloud of fecal material and bacteria above the toilet when you flush much more to be worried about than sitting on the toilet seat itself so yep important to close the toilet lid

I have heard that a small amount of fecal matter is necessary for bacterial balance. Total abstinence from fecal matter can cause harm because of your body builds bacterial resistance when exposed to microscopic amounts of fecal matter.
