Most kids are sexually aware by the time they are 13, yet the human brain does not fully develop till around age 23. To expect kids to remain celibate for 10 years, the same 10 years where they are exponentially absorbing and understanding themselves and the world, is just foolish. It is these years where they grown into adulthood, and her solution is to just ignore that biological desire, providing no guidance or oversight. Sure...that makes perfect sense, if your a religious nut.
