LINK In China, they’re rewriting the bible | World news | The Guardian

Apparently they are aimimg for “thought reform”, and the process of retranslating and annotating the bible is supposed to find common ground between it and socialism. It’s very 1984, if you ask me.

And? The Bible's been rewritten so many times. It means nothing anyway. Besides most people don't know how to understand the allegories for the true information anyway.

So what's new? The texts of the Bible have already been edited and rewritten hundreds of times throughout the document's history. China is like Hollywood.
They need to stop doing remakes of remakes and come up with their own ideas.

Have you ever visited China or resided in China?

Daoism and Buddhism have existed in China long before Christianity appeared. There is no word for 'God' in Mandarin and the only word that comes remotely close is Ziran which translates as the way of nature or of itself (simply, that which is natural)

On the Beijing Subway there is a stop called Lama Temple Dongcheng District, Beijing. China does not need to import foreign religions, especially, Christianity. Do I detect xenophobia in your comment?
