If they want to sure. I think the question your asking is can a man put his dick away in favor of treating a woman like a human rather then a assumed object of sexual desire. They can if they want. As a man I am consistently floored by mens seeming inability to put sex aside and treat people like humans. Woman and other men. Of course I am also fascinated by men who beat the shit out of each other drunk and call that a good night out.
Totally! The best “man” at my wedding was my current best friend. I love her dearly and she is absolutely gorgeous, but we’re both not attracted to each other sexually.
I have a female friend for over 20 years now. We only snogged once and that was because she had just been dumped for her best friend. I thought she needed an uplift in her self esteem. So I did it as a friend.
I rest my case!
@SukiSue I only kissed her because a, Like I said she needed that validation of her sexualty at that time and b, I knew that would go no further. We are friends pure and simple.
She is not my only female friend. In fact I have more women friends than men. Okay one of them is gay (she is always bringing up sex). but the rest seem quite happy with just a friendship. Yes the odd innuendo may creep in but thats in the nature of good humored banter, as I othen do with my gay male friends.
It’s possible of course but I’m more of a When Harry Met Sally believer. It’s a trite movie but I do agree with the message about male/female friendships.
I don't know about "best friend" which implies exclusiveness. But if you meant "close friend", then yes. I have been confidant, advisor, escort, and general close friend to more than one woman, with sex not entering the frame. Then there have been a couple where we knew that we would enjoy sex with each other but chose not to have sex as it might ruin the friendship.
I have one right now! And I have had them in the past.
After the first 15 years I had a wife that fell into that category for 20 more years! I miss her!
All you young folks on here are forgetting E.D. When you got it and Viagra don't help, it's pretty easy to maintain a "no sex" friendship.
Yes. I have a couple of them, who are both heterosexual and with whom I feel free and easy. I even supplied one with "cover" while she was dating an unhappily married man, who later became her husband. We used to make him jealous by swapping ice cubes - by mouth - but neither of them have never ever had even a passionate kiss, just a friendly peck. I'd hate to lose such good friends. So it is possible. However, I have also had sexual relationships with many very other women (Just fact, not bragging) with most of whom I still have friendly relations.
Actually, One of my Very Best Friends in a woman and Sex is not part of the equation.
Absolutely .... Why not ? We shared interests , organising a community garden , theatre , nothing else . Unfortunately she died last year .
Been a life-long guy with girl friends. Working with groups of women, musicians, dancers, businesses,... Gay and straight.
Got a great woman friend I met 20+ years ago. we have lunch about every two to three weeks. We talk about everything.
And, since I am a man, without control of the genetic think-of-sex every 5 minutes command, I am amazed that just recently I realized I have never thought about her breasts.
Both me and my wife have always had friends of both sexes.
