What do you call a medical school student who graduates with a D average?
Doctor.
And then through dollar sorting, we have the best doctors in rich places and everyone else gets the D students,

1

It depends on your healthcare plan and your doctors. My plan is outstanding but so is the price. The cost takes 1/10th of my income and medicine takes another 1/10th. That's a total of twenty % and now it isn't deductable for taxes.

1

Not at all surprising.
Yet another instance of our so-called representatives putting special interests and themselves before us.

Our healthcare costs are out of control. Churches are buying up hospitals at an alarming rate and refusing to perform abortions even in etopic pregnancy. Mental health Care is a low priority and difficult to treat. The whole system needs an overhaul. Why the richest country in the world is unable to provide national healthcare is mind boggling.

2

I believe it. I have to live in and deal with the heatlh care system. I'm in the US.

2

Yes. It is far too expensive, riddled with greed, and far too inequitable in availability and quality of care.

Just Like Military Contractors have been Pillaging our Economy so has the Health care industry. If only Americas Health industry had some Regulations and was Nationalised so we could tell Drug Comapanies what they could charge and demand they produce low use Medications if they want to own buisnesses. We Regulate people as individuals better than we regulate big buisness. Damn Shame!

That survey is from 2014. I wonder what the results are after 2015, the peak of mass migration. Sweden is having a record shortage of nurses and doctors and elderly are receiving less care. UK is seeing longer wait times.

This is just another example of the, mostly ignored, externalities of excessive immigration. Talking to liberals about a balanced immigration policy is like talking to the NRA about gun control. In the end everybody suffers.

Capitalism is a leech that sucks life from the world, and insurance companies are pricing themselves out of business.

1

Of course, because it is all about profit.

3

So much for the myth of the "greatest country in the world".

2

privatisation of health care system is root cause of such kind of porblem. Govt. health care facilities are declining day by day, beacause govt. wants the commercialisation of health care facilities.Govt. handed over a large portion of health sector in the hands of private sector. Now hospitals have become a market where services are a part of sell purchase system.

I work in healthcare and no argument here

what are ur views about health care facilities?

@FAIZ they're businesses, and businesses are about making money.

I've got some of the best insurance in the state because I'm a medical professional and I still can't afford most of my treatment. People think healthcare costs what they're charged but America has some of the largest markups in the world. It does not cost 1200 for a broken arm. You notice they bill everything seperated, that's so everyone can charge more. There is no reason a radiologist should charge 1800 to read an xray. A 10 dollar saline bag should not cost 400 dollars. It's all a game to them.

My hospital just closed their nursing home, claiming they were just too broke to keep it going, throwing 180 patients out of their home where they could get the round the clock care they needed. Tossing them out like trash.

Then they proceeded to not even a month later start a 2 million dollar renovation of our already renovated ICU. Our hospital that just couldn't afford a nursing home.

Why? Because old people on limited income don't pay as much as ICU can bring in. 'Well hey, since we aren't using the nursing home building can we donate it to the homeless shelter?' 'Of course not, we are going to turn it into fancy apartments our out of town doctors can rent for hundreds of dollars'.

Everywhere I look I see my hospital cutting corners or finding ways to rack in money with minimal effort. It is sickening. You even have to pay before getting seen in the e.r. unless you are unresponsive. 'Insurance card and copay please then we will treat your heart attack'.

@FAIZ not to mention the hospital the town over is dingy and dirty looking. It's disgusting, and the staff are terrible. The best part is, in order to make a shit ton of money, they have no specialists so any emergent patients like traumas, surgeries, or heart attacks or kidney failure, they get have to be transported to my hospital which means every patient gets slapped with a giant ambulance bill for transport that goes straight into that hospitals pocket. I have it in my emergency instructions to never go to that hospital especially if I'm dying. If I'm paying transport fees anyway, I'd rather pay my hospital or eaglemed and skip the tetanus risk lol.

@LadyAlyxandrea its a truth about todays health care facilities scenario , i agree with u. Im from India and here medical facilities became an open market to loot the saving of people.
Capitalists of world are snatching the health care facilities and educational facilities for earning a huge amount of profit.
literally time has arrived to come ahead and fight against these injustices if we want to provide a better future to our next generations.

No surprise. That poor ranking has been consistent for many, many years.
