I don't understand.. I know nothing about this story except what I see in this article...
She broke the law.. she was jailed and fined... Am I missing something?

She was charged with breaking the law. She had a kangaroo trial. What she did was reveal just how badly some of her superiors and others were behaving. If I were President I would issue a full and unconditional pardon, and give her a Medal of Freedom.
