Out of all the remakes of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", I'd have to say my favourite is the 1951 movie with Alastair Sim.

He is great at playing the role of Ebenezer Scrooge.

I think my favorite is the 1938 version with Gene, Kathleen, and June Lockhart; Leo G. Carroll; and Reginald Owen.

But the Alistair Sim version has the scene where Marley's Ghost stands up and howls and shakes his chains. And it has Patrick Macnee, and Peter Bull - who you may remember as the Russian ambassador in Doctor Strangelove.

I love old black-and-white movies.

I thing my favorite is Scrooge with Albert Finney. It’s a musical. Reminds me of Oliver.
