We are easy to divide. Too many competing ideas and needs for limited resources. This is normal with most species. Without predators and the ability to control a species numbers all hell breaks loose. Too many predators then the number of prey falls and the predators starve. Reduce the predators and the prey take over and ravage the natural environment. Even here on these islands one can see that basic rule in action. Our constant failure to obey natural laws will always doom us to misery, suffering and eventually extinction. There are no gods to save us and mother nature only seeks to maintain a balance.
@FrayedBear I did read about Professor Cipolla. Thank you for reminding me about his graph. We have reached the phase where the stupid are clearly dangerous. Can't wait to hear the back story on the guy who bombed Nashville, TN on Christmas day. So far we know he's white.
I just think the whole educational system has failed.
