After about 2 years most electronics are pretty obsolete, after 5 years nothing but a doorstop, this is beyond stupid!

I bought my Commodore Amiga 2000 in 1990 -- it still works great ! 🙂
I have an eight yro DVD/VHS player still works fine. 🙂
My 12 yro 42" Panasonic plasma TV ($50 from Craigslist) works great. 🙂

When the support expires, so should all patents and copyrights. This will enable third parties to provide parts and support.
