LINK Republican Idiot Brigade Debuts Dumbest COVID Claims Yet | Vanity Fair

Something you’ve probably picked up on over the course of the last 21 months is that Republicans have a lot of extremely stupid things to say about COVID-19. Unfortunately, since the pandemic has lasted longer than anyone could have imagined, conservatives have had to up their game re: the absurd things coming out of their mouths, from just stupid to historically moronic. And unlike ensuring that women are able to decide what to do with their own bodies or that democracy lives to see another day, this is a challenge they have been more than willing to take up, rolling out an official idiot brigade of commentary that belongs in a study of people who’ve suffered traumatic head injuries.

The horrible irony is that the mainstream GOP set themselves up for this crap after 9/11 when they decided they were going to make up a fantasy reality to justify invading Iraq. Once you unmoor your base from reality, there's no limit to what they'll believe.

I don't know any trumpanzees that aren't also Q-loons. And they all have this smug attitude. They're all on a mission, marching to the sea like lemmings.

These people will say absolutely anything if they think it appeals to their base.

In fact the only rabid Trump cultist I personally know well did suffer a traumatic brain injury. She was a liberal before that.
