LINK South Africa Bishop Desmond Tutu had died aged 90 | Cyprus Mail

As religious clercs go, he wasn't a bad guy. Still no heaven for him, more like fade to black and he no longer exists.

He was a very important figure in the fight against apartheid and possibly because he was a senior church man the Govt were afraid to jail him as the did with Nelson Mandela.
He later spoke out strongly against the corrupt Govt of Jacob Zuma.
He was one of the good guys and will be sadly missed.

We have no evidence that there is an afterlife.

Anybody who believes in an afterlife is delusional.

All I knew was that he was a Bishop and wore a tutu. Lots of my relatives are Bishops. Sorry he died.

So that's your surname?

I once had the dubious responsibilty of preventing him from coming to Australia because the conference he was scheduled to attend was discriminating against many Australians.
In effect I may have saved him from ugly embarrassment.
