Delightful news on "Pharma Bro" being banned for life. The reporting media RT may be disliked by some but it doesn't change the wonderful news.

Anyone searching all the 9K+ posts in my profile might come to conclusions they :
. . . in the beginning had LOTS of posts in Music Fans and Classic Rock Rules
. . . otherwise had more science and 'computer' based items
. . . some are pro US, some are anti US
. . . others, I would think have a variety of topics
. . .
Without malice, I would like to say . . .
It is my impression that, historically, you seem to have an anti US bias (more anti than pro)

I say all this in support of my claim that Americans are surely not alone in there antipathy to Russia.

[en.wikipedia.org]

The PBS Newshour from tonight is a prime example :
(cued-up to the start of the segment)

😂
👋

@FrayedBear . . . it worked for me, but try this one :

@FearlessFly thanks. Now please tell me if the following video did not result from people influenced by American news sources? It seems in typical fashion you are now trying to divert from the original subject - your absolute hatred of Putin & RT. Im also reminded of what the beloved Pfizer did in Europe & other places to denigrate & stop the use of the AstraZenecca vaccine recently.

@FearlessFly oh look. NBC is one of your promoted news sources.

@FrayedBear I have never 'caught the travel bug', so I have never had a passport. 😟
I'm a lifelong American, I strive for Critical Thinking and fairness, and despise injustice.
I like to think I don't shy away from criticising what I consider to be foolishness (including the US)

. . . btw, what percentage of your 'news' centered posts are primarily using RT as source ? (I think at least a plurality, perhaps more)

@FearlessFly I would think a high percentage. It is the only news app on my phone. I do have the option however to pick & choose which items I read. Other sources come from items read on fbuk, my own pursuit of further information having read something else together with some subscriptions to various bodies around the world reporting on matters that I have more than a momentary curiosity over.

@FearlessFly like me you had no choice as to your country of birth. It is an everlasting irritation that all laws have not yet got round to recognising that we are people of the planet earth irrespective of our birthplace & should like the birds & butterflies be able to freely travel & reside where we will. If you haven't already done so examine how individual country's laws fiercely claim possession of children born in that country. A fact sadly upheld in international human rights conventions. (Another source of my information)

@FrayedBear "the only news app on my phone"
ALL websites are accessible from ANY browser and all smartphones are capable of having any browser(s) you want !
In addition to being unnecessary installing website specific app(s) decrease privacy, with dubious benefit.

@FearlessFly Exactly. Personal choice, fatalism & lack of hubris.
Fly according to medical prognosis made when I was 7 I'm now about 30 years past my use by date. Why are you trying to infect me with your paranoia?

@FrayedBear It's NOT paranoia if website(s) are actually out to get you" -- which, considering ALL the data that is never 'forgotten'/deleted, is as factual as it gets. 😛

@FearlessFly And the proof is?

@FrayedBear As a proponent of SCIENCE, I avoid the use of the 'proof' word, but
even YOU, are capable (I take it) of evidence from your search engine of choice :

. . . just the first few (of the FIRST page of results) of evidence :
[wired.com]
[gizmodo.com]
[octoparse.com]
[zapier.com]
[qeryz.com]

@FearlessFly thank you for those previously unknown sites. Occassionally I have wondered how money is being made from the information that we share on here. It is only idle curiosity. In my life I've given away a million dollar mansion. Had a house with a million dollar view stolen from me. Been denied basic human rights by ignorant Australian judges, lawyers and others. Deliberately fed false impressions & information to others wishing to illegally profit from me.
I suggest that what the first report in wired suggests on others paying for information that is then manipulated to provide the answer that they wish to hear then if only 5% of people start supplying wrong information then the value of such information will soon decrease.

FFS they can't even get things right with covid - a straightforward highly studied and reported pandemic. Do you think I care if a marketer thinks that they can obtain money from me by selling me a product sold by xyz because I stopped for five minutes to rest outside xyz's store selling "v" product? Do I care if in a burn brain I buy a $30 book that I will never read? My world no longer turns around having to earn money for rent & food. My ambition no longer exceeds my available money.

For those wondering at the significance of the size of the penalties imposed remember that they have to be paid & collected still, the revenue & profits of the Pfizer group should be examined.
I put the simple question into DuckDuckGo search engine : "how much profit has Pfizer Group made over the last 25 years" and got the following list that instead of giving the simple answer deflects with articles on covid vax profits, earnings per share etc.
[duckduckgo.com]

Of some bearing are these -
[ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]

[huffpost.com]

[finance.yahoo.com]

These are all matters needing consideration when weighing up the veracity of the penalties imposed.

Ping @Petter, @FearlessFly, @Yvilletom, @Lorajay, @Bobwjr, @Castlepaloma, @Barjoe, @Alienbeing.

. . . I'll repeat my comment from an earlier post . . . 😛

"Great! Now do Manchin’s kid!"

. . . Poor Martin, now he's just a placebro 🙂

. . . also -- repeat -- f Putin and his mouthpiece 😛
. . . NO shortage of sources to choose from
[axios.com]
[reuters.com]
[aljazeera.com]
[washingtonpost.com]
[cnbc.com]
[nypost.com]
[latimes.com]
[marketwatch.com]

.
.
.

. . . hand 🙂

@FearlessFly your quoted earlier post comes up "not available".

@FrayedBear . . . it works for me
. . . in the Progressives, Socialists, and Black Lives Matter group
. . . by Killtheskyfairy
. . . maybe you were blocked ?

@FearlessFly do any of your linked sources throw any greater information on the subject?
There are a number of questions that I raise. Do your links answer them? RT didn't.

Do you also say say "fuck Niemöller" because he had the temerity to disaprove of Hitler?

When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.
When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.
When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.
When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

[en.m.wikiquote.org]

Even Niemöller shows his prejudice against the mentally ill, the Russians, the Sinti & Rom by not including them.

Do I say "fuck the Fly he has blind hatred of Putin & Russia"? Has Russia or Putin imposed sanctions on you, stolen from you like America has stolen from Russia, killed one of your family like your CIA has killed Russians?

@FrayedBear I repeat what I have said before . . .

I DON'T claim that RT is universally wrong.
I DO claim their is NO shortage of other verifiable/reliable/credible sources

@FearlessFly and I repeat by action that it is more convenient for me to use them as a source.

@FrayedBear "I repeat" -- I surely had not been told before . . .

"more convenient" -- . . . huh ?
a) you live in Victoria, right ?
b) you obviously have WORLD WIDE internet access . . .
c) you therefore CAN choose ANY source "out there"
d) you therefore CHOOSE to use RT, a fairly widely reviled source

. . . does NOT compute. 😛

@FearlessFly Simply because something or someone is widely reviled does not prohibit or scare me off. Not long ago I discovered that the new so called smart meters installed to record our electricity consumption could be turned back to zero. Lately I've discovered that they do not record the amount of electricity that you generate & return to the grid (eg. Through solar panels.)
When I complained about the zeroing I was ridiculed by highly paid engineers & managers from the power distributor. I simply asked why was it necessary for old analog mechanical meters to be foolproof or indeed car mileometers? No answer.

It turns out that in a country of 25million or so people, about 6 million premises having power supply requiring recording, I was the only person to ask the question.

Now that they have started recording the output from the panels on the roof it currently looks like I am using about 1kwH per day but producing about 14kwH. Im charged over a $1 for each hour but only credited 80 cents for the 14kwH being produced. The "profit" however does not appear to go back to national or even state owned resource. Oh no! It is going to a Chinese owned retailing company that uses cheap Philippine labour for most of its administration. To add insult to injury they are not trusted by the Chinese employers who require you to authorise them to look at the Chinese records by supplying your full personal details (name, address, dob, license number).

And with a straight face we are told this is to protect our privacy!

You really expect me to be impressed by your comment that the source is to be reviled when I was very much aware of the WMD lie told to embroil Australia in a war that did the Iraqis no favours but American oil & business a hreat deal!

Do read
[en.wikipedia.org]

These are Cipolla's five fundamental laws of stupidity:

  1. Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.

  2. The probability that a certain person (will) be stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person.

  3. A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses.

  4. Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. In particular non-stupid people constantly forget that at all times and places and under any circumstances to deal and/or associate with stupid people always turns out to be a costly mistake.

  5. A stupid person is the most dangerous type of person.

Corollary: a stupid person is more dangerous than a pillager.

@FrayedBear What are you referring to?

@Alienbeing Ah dear alien, you have returned from your December\ year end sojourn. A good time was had I hope & now fit for a robust 2022? Let me be the first to sic onto you the Companions of Health, Peace and Fulfilment to travel with you throughout the livelong year.
Surely the season has not left you bereft of sense to enable you to enjoin in the discussion happening on this reflection & response to American behaviour, deemed illegality, court & reality of news publication? Be not shy! Throw your thoughts, beliefs, opinions and hopes into the pit so that we may all embrace them.

@Alienbeing @FearlessFly has even kindly given you a bunch of URLs for American news media telling the same story so that your eyes will not have pop, bulge & blush through being inspired from reading RT!

@FrayedBear You need to stop taking drugs, I never left.

In closing, once again I remind you (your memory is really very poor) that my sole point to you is that since you don't live in the USA no one cares what you have to say about us or our media, so feel free to buzz off.

@Alienbeing The fact that you keep repeating your "don't care about your opinion" identifies otherwise. Your failure to engage suggests a frightened & scared rabbit. Your inability to acknowledge felicitations directed at you identify boorish ignorance suggesting that you are indeed an impoverished individual.

@FrayedBear
a) . . . and the (lame) 'drumbeat' continues
b) . . . Dunning Krueger

c) . . . clearly you haven't noticed, the Out Of The Illusion 'snow flakes' ("You Can't Handle The Truth" 🙂 ) booted me many moons ago 🙂

@FearlessFly I only go there infrequently. Lol. They've had a go at me once or twice.

[justice.gov]
Here's some low down on how US pharmaceutical companies have become financial vultures, feeding on the sick like the vulture does.

All quite spectacular but then you realize that it is 16 years since the drug was removed from use.
Does the reward reflect true penalty and change in monetary value over 16+ years? How long was the drug marketed before it was withdrawn?
During the life of the drug how much profit was made from it by Pfizer and how much can be attributed to the illegal marketing?

I got the same news and lots of background info from the BBC web site.
It is also all over US websites, so why do you have to quote a Russian news source?
As far as the news itself is concerned, I was delighted to see it yesterday.

Why quote a Russian source?

“Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” …..Sun Tzu.

It is a convenient source Petter that groups the news from around the world from many sources. It also funds many authors of opinion who do not mealy mouthedly acquiesce to western indoctrination that says the west is right, the east wrong. It therefore opens up perspectives that western media will not dare to voice.

My main criticism of the service is that there is too much on talkfests, sport & man made disaster.

I would rather see reports on positive progressive undertaking to advance humanity's wellbeing.

@FrayedBear In which case follow AlJazeera.

@Petter I did for a while but lost interest in their reports.

Justice is served

Is it? See my comments.

Bravo to the American regulatory agencies that made him accountable for his crimes.

Is enough done or is it merely a case of having one of these cases every blue moon in order to be able to say "look we are doing something"? I wonder what the wages of everyone involved in the case amounted to over the years?

@FrayedBear obviously you don't think it is enough done. I'm literally thankful that anything was done. Our justice system is obviously good to protect corporations and the Rich and famous. I never said I approved.

@Lorajay there you go, passing judgement on my question. As I was told a long time "to assume (that I believe inadequate is being done because I ask the questions "Is enough done or is it merely a case of having one of these cases every blue moon in order to be able to say "look we are doing something"? I wonder what the wages of everyone involved in the case amounted to over the years?) is to put an "ass" before "u" & "me"!

@Lorajay What you can believe is that I believe that corporations have more money to spend on outwitting the brains employed by the people to govern & prevent fraud occurring.

An argument used by Trump to turn the people against those few appointed for their intelligence. I seem to recall that at one point Trump praised Pharma Boy for his malpractice.
Beliefs that led to the publicised events of 06\01\2021.

A woke belief now seems to exist that says that it is wrong for such malpractice to be revealed because it harms society more than the malpractice itself does unless it distracts from or hides our malpractice!

@FrayedBear Please continue posting from RT. The US doesn’t want Americans to see it.

Not just America. Thanks for the support. Please see my reply to Petter above.
The article on [rwmalonemd.substack.com]? possibly helps explain American inability to consider other points of view.

IMO USA has been promoting & practising the illness since discovery by Europeans.

I can easily access RT.

@Lorajay But you do not make reposts from it. Is that because of the indoctrination arising from past fascists like McCarthy, Nixon, Hoover & Bush family scaring you off?

Remember Niemöller's famous aphorism:

When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.
When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.
When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.
When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

[en.m.wikiquote.org]

Even Niemöller shows his prejudice against the mentally ill, the Russians, the Sinti & Rom by not including them.

@FrayedBear unless you're stalking me you never see all of my posts. And I know you never see my Facebook posts.

In my opinion, you attack anyone that tries to talk to you unless they say you are so right frayedbear or something similar. I won't make that mistake again.

BTW, I was responding to Yville's statement regarding access to RT.

@Lorajay 1. Why would I wish to "stalk you"? 2. What would make you think that I haven't better things to do with my time? 3. Is it a case of you wishing to project your action on to me?

As for chipping in on a comment by Tom I suggest that it is merely my showing solidarity back for his support above & possibly further putting weight into the reason that it is important that Tom be allowed to express his opinion.

It is interesting that instead of arguing against Dr Malone's talk on MASS FORMATION PSYCHOSIS
or... mass hypnosis- the madness of crowds you take the matter personally & wish to insinuate that I'm stalking.

Just a slap on the wrist. Big Pharma had to pay 2 billion in one case
Then they were sued up to 7 billion that has not been resolved yet. They keep getting away with mass murder with a license to kill. Being the fourth leading cause of death in the world.

There is also the time that it takes for these matters to be resolved. That & who decides which ones are prosecuted.
