My Golden Retriever would fetch the paper from a winding path. I especially appreciated her devotion when it was raining, or if the Sunday paper was especially heavy.

Dogs and sticks belong together. My sweet Rickie saw me pulling this out of the lake and thought I was getting ready to throw it for him and knocked us both down.
