Russel's not a Lawyer so his analysis means little. POTUS Joe has put some wheels in motion and that's a good thing. Hopefully it leads to Gov's giving Pardons and taking pot off the Schedule 1 list.

DEA Federal? No more funds for them re dope then which means they can concentrate on harder stuff.
The reason they decriminalised it in Sth Aust years ago was economics. Someone did a study into cost re police resources and court time that could be saved if decriminalised. It all comes down to the mighty $$$$$.

@puff I have no disagreement with decriminalization but the act of Pardoning is more complex. POTUS Joe can only affect Fed convictions so can only poke the Gov's. Most hate Dems so are saying no. Everything comes down to the mighty $$$$ so that's a given.
