A vet is coming by my place in a little while for the Big Sleep.. She's been a real great companion through the years.
It looks like she is not going to make it. At the vets they say she is not even attempting to use her back legs.
I am going to go get her i the hopes that just being hoe will give her the will to try.
To quote the tin man "I know I have a heart because I can feel it breaking."
The diagnosis is diabetes.
I'm not sure what to do, I would be able to afford it, since I have pet insurance for her.
But she is so procedure adverse that I wonder about her quality of life, with me being her trusted person starting to poke her with a needle twice a day.
I also don't want to just go back over there as they euthanize her and have the last couple days at the vets be her last ones.
Maybe bring her home a couple days or however long she can be feeling somewhat well and see if there is someplace locally that can do a house call.
You know going in when you adopt an animal that your heart is going to be broken.
